Sessions on ‘Effective Communication’ for

In continuation with the Foundation’s endeavour for Proactive Emotional Wellness,

Sleepwell Foundation recently organised a session on Effective Communication Skills for

School Principals & Teachers of Delhi.


The workshop was conducted by reputed professionals in the field. An audience of 30 attended the

workshop and they were enriched with latest techniques in receptive communication skills

especially the art of listening.

The second leg of Proactive Emotional Wellness Workshop was held at Jijabai ITI for women, New Delhi,

where around 200 teenage girls attended the workshop in two separate sessions.


Counselors from Sanjivini Society for Mental Health conducted these sessions.

The topic was Relationship—its influence and impact on individual, family and the society.
The girls were made aware of human relationships around them, at home and in the society;
how to recognize them, deal with them and how to manage them better, They were also sensitized about
how to identify and reduce troublesome differences and stresses in the relationships.


The workshop was highly interactive and girls of both sessions participated with full enthusiasm.

They were attired in smart SWF caps and snacks were served to them.

Sessions on ‘Gender Sensitisation’ for boys & girls of
Swavalamban School (run by ‘PRAYATN), Kapashera, New Delhi on April 19, 2016.

As part of Proactive Emotional Wellness initiative, Sleepwell Foundation organised workshop on

‘Gender Sensitisation’ for boys & girls in the age group of 14 to 19 years. 140 children participated in

two separate sessions conducted by professional counselors.

With an objective to make both boys and girls work together towards making a better society,

the programme was designed to make them aware of sensitive issues like:

– Biological differences between male & female

– Difference between sex and gender

– Common traits in them

– Roles assigned by the society through various culture & customs


Children were attentive and showed positive response in understanding such sensitive issues


Smart SWF caps were distributed and snacks were served to the children.
