Sleepwell Foundation conducted a 2 - day "Train The Teacher" Workshop to Enhance Functional Skills of Teachers of Khaitan Public School, Noida on 19-20 October 2023 at the school premise.
64 TGT and PGT Teachers attended the workshop.
Topics of the workshop, spread over two days included: Assessment and NEP and Handling Difficult Situations & Students (Day 1), Effective Communication and Lesson Planning (Day 2)
The Workshop opened with a very warm welcome note by Ms. Renu, the workshop coordinator, followed by an encouraging opening speech by the CEO, Col. Kaushal and the Principal, Mr. Sajeev Philip. They urged the participant teachers to upgrade their knowledge through the opportunity presented by the workshop.
Teachers from all the departments (Hindi, English, Computers, Math, Science and Physical Education) were deeply involved in the interactive sessions. Every participant had a story to share about their experience and the day-to-day challenges they faced with the students and parents. They also voiced their concerns about the shift in the new system of education. Some did not seem to be happy with the new policy whereas the computer-literate (almost all) staff were more than happy with the streamlined modern style of teaching and assessment system. The teachers showed their way of working on SOFT COPIES of Lesson Plans, assessments, maintaining records of students etc., at the Khaitan Public School.
The workshop was a big success. The workshop coordinator and the principal expressed their appreciation for this kind of interactive workshop. They expressed their keenness to have workshops for students as well. The participants felt immensely benefitted from this workshop as they found the learning to upgrade their skills.
