Sleepwell Foundation conducted a workshop on Self-Care & Emotional Wellbeing at Gyan Kunj Public School, Jonapur, New Delhi, on 25 September, 2025, for 39 Teachers. The session aimed to promote awareness around mental health, stress management, and practical self-care strategies tailored for educators.

Through a mix of interactive discussions, reflective exercises, and guided techniques like deep breathing, journaling, and mindfulness, the workshop helped participants explore physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and social aspects of self-care. Trainers emphasized that self-care is not a luxury, but a vital necessity for maintaining wellbeing in demanding teaching environments.

Teachers actively engaged with the session, sharing personal experiences and coping strategies. Emotional openness and mutual understanding created a supportive atmosphere, where participants felt seen and validated.

The workshop concluded on a transformative note, leaving teachers with renewed motivation and actionable tools to enhance their personal and professional lives. It successfully highlighted self-care as an essential practice, not an afterthought.

Session - Creating a Caring Classroom Workshop

Sleepwell Foundation conducted an insightful workshop on “Understanding Neurodivergence and Building Inclusive Classrooms” at Gyan Kunj Public School, Jonapur, New Delhi, on 18th July 2025 for 33 dedicated teachers.

The session began with an engaging ice-breaker, “WATT is your Attention,” where participants assessed their focus levels. The trainer then introduced the concept of neurodevelopment and discussed tools to support neurodivergent learners. Key conditions such as SLD (Specific Learning Disabilities), ADHD, and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) were explained clearly, supported by a relatable case study and two powerful clips from Taare Zameen Par.

Teachers explored practical strategies to create inclusive, empathetic, and emotionally safe classrooms. The workshop encouraged reflection on their critical role in supporting every learner's unique needs.

The session was interactive, resource-rich, and highly appreciated by participants. Teachers found the content relatable and empowering, praising its relevance and sensitivity. The workshop successfully deepened their understanding of neurodiversity and the importance of inclusive education.

Session - Exam Stress Management Workshop

Sleepwell Foundation conducted a workshop on ‘Exam Stress Management’ at Gyan Kunj Public School, Jauanapur, New Delhi, on 17th Feb, 2025, with over 123 students from 9th & 11th grades. The session, split into two parts, aimed to address exam stress, its causes, and its effects. Through engaging activities like an ice-breaker and brainstorming discussions, students explored stress symptoms, the difference between eustress and distress, and practical stress-management strategies. Key takeaways included revision techniques, exam strategies, and tips for maintaining mental well-being. The session concluded with the messages ‘STUDY SMART & STRESS LESS’ and ‘CALM YOUR MIND & LET EXAM STRESS UNWIND.’

The workshop was very successful and received positive feedback, with both students and faculty expressing gratitude.

Session - Perception & Communication Workshop

Sleepwell Foundation conducted a Workshop on Perception & Communication for Teachers and Students of Gyan Kunj Public School to skill each of these segments with tools necessary to make teaching and learning an effective and enjoyable experience.

The workshop was conducted in two sessions — one for the teachers and the other for the students.

Parents often perceive schools as the sole educator of their children. In schools, communication by the teacher is the main source to impart education and also to foster a good relationship with students that enhances the effectiveness of the school. It is therefore critical for teachers to be good communicators.

With this workshop the teachers found an opportunity to empower themselves to become better communicators to further the goal of imparting effective learning.

The students benefited from this workshop as they too equipped themselves with a skill that has life-long application in every sphere of living.
