Sleepwell Foundation conducted a Stress & Anger Management workshop for the Para Medics of Dr. Shroff Charitable Eye Hospital, New Delhi on 18th April, 2024.

62 Paramedics participated in the workshop. The session was conducted primarily in English, with intermittent use of Hindi.

The workshop commenced with an introduction by the organizer, followed by a casual conversation led by the trainers, Ms. Simi and Ms. Parveen. Participants engaged in discussions about stress triggers and reactions to anger, setting the stage for deeper exploration into these topics.

Key highlights of the workshop included:

—Exploration of anger triggers such as expectations, past experiences, and feelings of inadequacy.

—Introduction of the "Anger Iceberg" concept, emphasizing that underlying causes of anger are often deeply submerged.

—Role-playing scenarios depicting aggressive, passive, and assertive responses to anger, fostering participant engagement and real-life application.

—Dispelling myths about anger, including misconceptions about its inevitability and the nature of aggressive behavior.

—Discussion on stress management, including identification of physical, emotional, and behavioral symptoms of stress.

—Strategies for coping with stress and anger, such as meditation, exercise, and setting personal boundaries.

Participants showed enthusiasm, actively contributing to discussions and sharing personal insights.The role-playing exercises resonated with real-life experiences, encouraging robust interaction. The session was well-organized, maintaining a balance between theoretical discussions and practical applications.

The Stress & Anger Management Workshop conducted by The Sleepwell Foundation proved to be a valuable learning experience for the para medics of Dr. Shroff Charitable Eye Hospital. Sleepwell Foundation conducted a workshop on Relationship for the paramedics from Dr. Shroff Charitable Eye Hospital, New Delhi on 7th June, 2024.

The workshop was aimed to explore the dynamics of various relationships among 60 para medics from Dr. Shroff Charitable Eye Hospital. Conducted in English and Hindi, the workshop provided insights and practical exercises to enhance participants' understanding and management of relationships.

Key highlights of the workshop included:

—Exploration of Relationships: Ms. Neelam initiated the discussion with examples, categorizing relationships into three types: Necessary, A Bond, and Interactive, emphasizing the role of healthy communication in fostering good relationships.

—Interactive Exercise: Participants engaged in a role-playing exercise using placards labeled with relationships like Mother, Spouse/Partner, and Friend, expressing their feelings and initiating a detailed discussion.

—True/False Exercise: A segment involved participants responding to relationship-related statements, promoting critical thinking and discussion.

—Role-plays: Trainers performed role-plays depicting different scenarios in a husband-wife relationship, highlighting communication challenges and effective emotional understanding.

—Discussion on Relationship Dynamics: Insights were shared on the importance of commitment, flexibility, kindness, and acceptance in nurturing relationships.

—Litmus Tests: The concept of four litmus tests—Receiving, Asking, Saying No, and Giving—was discussed to evaluate the health of relationships.

—Self-Relationship Reflection: The workshop concluded with a reflection on self-relationship and its impact on interpersonal relationships.

There was enthusiastic participation throughout the session, with active involvement in discussions and exercises. Participants related workshop content to personal experiences, enriching the discussions with practical insights.

The Relationships Workshop organized by The Sleepwell Foundation proved beneficial in enhancing the understanding and management of relationships among paramedics. Sleepwell Foundation conducted a workshop on Emotional Wellness & Emotional-first Aid for the doctors of Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital on
22nd February, 2024.

60 doctors participated in the workshop.

The objective of the workshop was to create awareness about emotional wellbeing and self-care among doctors, who regularly confront patients’ emotional issues including trauma that negatively affect their wellness.

The workshop was highly informative and engaging, equipping the participants with practical tools to navigate their day-to-day hospital lives.

The workshop was a big success as the doctors were very appreciative about the outcome of the learning from it. They provided very positive feedback and expressed desire to have more workshops, acknowledging the significant benefits gained from this workshop.

Sleepwell Foundation conducted a workshop on Perception and Communication for the paramedics of Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital on
13th March, 2024.

70 paramedics participated in the workshop.

The objective of the workshop was to enhance communication skills emphasizing the crucial connection between perception and communication. The workshop highlighted the importance of forming accurate perceptions to achieve perfect communication. Recognizing that good communication skills are essential for care giving and professional development, the workshop aimed to equip the paramedics with this vital skill.

The participants demonstrated active engagement throughout the workshop which made the learning experience enjoyable and informative. Using role-play and emphasizing verbal and non-verbal communication, the workshop added an engaging dimension to the learning.

The workshop was a big success as it provided opportunities to the paramedics to hone one of the most fundamental and valuable skills needed for all aspects of growth. The participants provided valuable and positive feedback which highlighted that the workshop achieved its goal, benefiting them immensely.
