SOCIAL CHANGE THROUGH EMOTIONAL WELLNESS

Bullying is a very real, very common, almost epidemic problem in schools and can affect students’ well-being in many ways. Targeted children often suffer from poor performance in school, sleep issues, anxiety, and depression and may suffer a serious and lasting decline in self-esteem. And, Bullies often grow up to be unhappy adults. They often remain depressed and anxious & develop aggressive nature, and find difficulty in holding down a job, retaining and maintaining relationships.

WE BELIEVE that it is necessary for the students as well as the parents and the school authority, all to realise the menace of bullying and its immediate and long-lasting affect on children and prevent all from this threat, physical or emotional.

Students learnt how to respect others & create stronger and healthier relationships. To help students grow their resilience in the face of adversity

To discourage bullying and to create positive changes in the school.

The workshop, while interacting and engaging the students in activities, defined bullying behavior; the difference between bullying, teasing and fighting; different ways of bullying - verbal - nonverbal, physical - emotional and personal - social. It presented effective ways to respond to bullying— by supporting others, to seek help, etc., and how to stop bullying in school.

We wish to create a classroom climate that prevents bullying and put interventions in place that stop bullying in its initial stages only.

We aspire to enhance students’ emotional well-being. AND, WE WANT TO MAKE SCHOOLS AN EMOTIONALLY SAFE PLACE FOR CHILDREN.
