ACT CLEAN WORKSHOPS

Encouraging young minds to build lifelong habits of cleanliness, Sleepwell Foundation hosted an “ACT Clean” workshop at Akshay Pratishthan, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, on 18 February 2026. The session engaged 61 students from Classes 3, 4, and 5, focusing on cleanliness, hygiene, and the importance of maintaining a healthy environment through the simple principles of the 5S methodology.

The participating students were specially abled and faced learning and communication challenges. To ensure inclusive participation, the school arranged a professional American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter, who translated the trainers’ instructions and demonstrations into sign language. With the support of teachers and the interpreter, concepts such as sorting, organizing, cleaning, and sustaining hygiene habits were communicated through clear visual demonstrations and interactive activities.

Students also participated in hands-on cleaning exercises and a creative poster-making activity promoting the message of “Act Clean, Clean India.” The workshop successfully encouraged responsibility, teamwork, and lifelong cleanliness habits while demonstrating the importance of inclusive learning environments.
