SKILLING RURAL YOUTH OF KHURJA
The annual Certificate Distribution and Talent Showcase at SDC Khurja served as a vibrant celebration of transformation and empowerment. This year, the event reflected the centre’s continued dedication to developing the skills and potential of rural youth, guiding them towards successful futures. As the graduates took their first steps into the workforce, the ceremony highlighted the profound impact that SDC Khurja continues to have on their lives.
Since its inception, the Sleepwell Foundation Skill Development Centre has been a catalyst for change, offering employable skill-based education and hands-on training to young people in rural areas. Our mission to foster self-reliance and socio-economic growth through skilling remains at the heart of every initiative. We envision a future where the youth, equipped with valuable skills, contribute to the advancement of society with pride and dignity.
On October 22, 2024, SDC Khurja witnessed a milestone event, where more than 250 young achievers received their well-earned course completion certificates. These individuals, trained in fields ranging from Paramedics, Software Development, Advanced Computer & IT, Fashion Designing to Beauty Care, are now ready to enter the professional world, equipped with the knowledge and experience they need to succeed. Their hard work and dedication were celebrated through a grand Fashion Show and Makeup Show, where graduates of the MasterG Fashion Designing and Beautician Courses showcased their creativity and confidence.
The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Smt. Chaitra V IAS, Commissioner of Aligarh Division. We were also honoured to have Mr. Rahul Gautam, Managing Director and Chairman of Sheela Foam Ltd., Lt Gen (Dr.) V K Ahluwalia, PVSM, AVSM**, YSM, VSM (Retd), Former GOC-in-C, Central Command, Ms. Gayatri Jolly, Founder of MasterG and Daughters, and other esteemed dignitaries, whose presence elevated the occasion.
