Sleepwell Foundation organized a two-day interactive workshop for 96 teachers at Seth Vidyalaya, Madanpur Khadar, Delhi, aimed at enhancing their personal well-being, classroom effectiveness, and professional competencies. The workshop covered key topics such as Emotional Wellness, Handling Difficult Students & Situations, Classroom Management, and Time Management. Designed to address the practical challenges faced by educators, the sessions provided participants with effective strategies and actionable insights to create positive, engaging, and productive learning environments.
The Emotional Wellness session emphasized stress management, self-awareness, empathy, emotional regulation, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Teachers reflected on the emotional demands of their profession and explored ways to manage burnout and frustration. The sessions on Handling Difficult Students & Situations helped participants understand the reasons behind challenging student behaviours and introduced practical approaches such as active listening, positive reinforcement, conflict resolution, and effective communication with students and parents.

The Classroom Management session focused on building organized, engaging, and disciplined learning environments. Teachers discussed methods to improve student participation, manage mixed-ability classrooms, and establish positive teacher-student relationships. The Time Management session highlighted the importance of planning, prioritization, and efficient workload management. Participants learned practical techniques for organizing tasks, setting goals, reducing stress, and improving productivity through tools such as SWOT Analysis.
A significant number of participants were more comfortable communicating in Hindi, so the sessions were facilitated primarily in Hindi, resulting in greater engagement and active participation. Teachers openly shared classroom experiences, behavioural challenges, and concerns related to student learning and parent involvement. The workshop successfully enhanced awareness, confidence, and professional skills among participants while highlighting the need for continued training in communication, behaviour management, inclusive education, technology integration, and teacher well-being.
