As part of its ongoing initiative to improve the emotional well-being of Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus drivers, the Sleepwell Foundation conducted three more workshops on January 4th, 11th, and 18th, 2025, benefiting 194 drivers. These workshops are part of a series, with 38 workshops completed so far, empowering a total of 2,694 individuals.

The sessions began with ice-breaking activities, followed by discussions on understanding and managing emotions optimistically. Trainers shared real-life examples and demonstrated emotional wellness techniques, such as staying calm in adversity with a Coke and water bottle exercise. Drivers were encouraged to express and release emotions positively by writing their problems and discussing solutions.

The workshops were interactive and engaging, with participants sharing personal experiences. The sessions concluded with golden tips on emotional wellness, making the workshops a huge success in providing valuable strategies for emotional health and stress management.

As part of our ongoing commitment to improving the emotional well-being of bus drivers, the Sleepwell Foundation conducted 9 more workshops from October to December 2024 for Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) and Cluster Bus Drivers. These workshops, held on October 5th, 19th, 26th, November 19th, 23rd, 30th, and December 7th, 14th, and 21st, benefitted 552 more drivers.

The workshops focused on addressing the unique challenges faced by drivers, such as long working hours, heavy traffic, and interactions with passengers. These stressors can significantly affect drivers' mental health, making emotional wellness a crucial area of focus. Through these workshops, drivers learned effective stress management techniques, communication skills, and resilience-building strategies to better cope with their demanding roles.

This initiative not only aims to foster a healthier work environment but also contributes to improved road safety by ensuring drivers are mentally prepared to navigate the challenges they face each day. The workshops continue to play a vital role in enhancing the overall well-being of DTC drivers.

Sleepwell Foundation organized 8 workshops in April and May 2024 aimed at enhancing the emotional well-being of Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) and Cluster Bus Drivers.

664 Drivers participated in the workshops held on 6th, 13th, 20th , 27th April and 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th May, 2024.

These workshops were aimed to address the unique challenges faced by drivers in their profession. Driving can be stressful due to long hours, traffic conditions, and interaction with passengers. These factors can impact drivers' emotional well-being and overall mental health.

By providing such workshops, drivers can learn effective stress management techniques, improve their communication skills, and develop resilience to cope with the demands of their job. This initiative not only promotes a healthier work environment but also enhances road safety by ensuring that drivers are mentally equipped to handle the pressures and challenges they encounter daily.

Additionally, focusing on emotional wellness helps to reduce burnout, increase job satisfaction, and foster a supportive workplace culture where drivers feel valued and supported in their roles.

The workshops proved highly interactive, with drivers enthusiastically participating and engaging in various activities and discussions. Their eagerness to learn and contribute underscored their commitment to improving their emotional well-being and professional skills.

The valuable feedback received from the drivers emphasized the workshops' fulfillment of their expectations. This positive response indicates the success of the workshops in meeting the objectives of enhancing drivers' emotional wellness and equipping them with valuable tools for personal and professional growth.

The Sleepwell Foundation organized two workshops on January 13th, 18th and February 5th & 12th 2024, aimed at boosting the emotional well-being of Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) and Cluster Bus Drivers.

During the sessions, the trainers demonstrated the importance of staying calm in challenging situations using a simple activity involving a coke and a water bottle. Participants found this activity relatable to their own emotions. The trainers discussed the idea of expressing emotions positively rather than suppressing them. To illustrate this, participants were asked to write down their problems on pieces of paper and place them in a bottle on the table. Some of these problems were then shared and discussed, along with potential solutions.

The workshops concluded with key tips on emotional wellness, supported by relevant examples. Throughout the sessions, participants actively shared their experiences and problems, and trainers provided solutions accordingly.

Overall, the workshops were characterized by interactive discussions and relevant examples tailored to the participants' experiences, making the sessions engaging and effective. The feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, indicating the success of the workshops.

Sleepwell Foundation organized a series of workshops over a period of five days aimed at enhancing the emotional wellness of Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) and Cluster Bus Drivers. Around 65 drivers participated each day, equipping themselves with essential skills to effectively manage the stress inherent in their roles of transporting countless commuters through the bustling city. Navigating the congested streets of Delhi, negotiating narrow lanes, and contending with challenging traffic situations and unruly passengers pose significant challenges. The primary objective of the workshops was to provide the drivers with tools enabling them to remain composed in the face of such stressors, ultimately contributing to their emotional well-being and, consequently, road safety.

Mr. C.S. Chauhan (CTD) of Delhi Transport Corporation inaugurated the workshop in presence of Mr. Suman Nath, Deputy Director, CII Delhi.

Throughout the workshops, drivers gained insights into recognizing and effectively handling various emotions experienced by people. The sessions were highly interactive, with participants displaying a keen willingness to engage actively, infusing the atmosphere with enthusiasm and liveliness. The trainers integrated real-life examples, especially those relevant to the drivers' daily routines. The workshops concluded with valuable tips on emotional wellness, highlighted by relevant examples.

The success of the workshop was evident in the positive feedback received from participants, who believed that the learning acquired would significantly enhance their emotional well-being. DTC authorities were impressed by the workshop's impact and expressed a desire for Sleepwell Foundation to conduct more such sessions in the future.
