Sleepwell Foundation conducted a workshop on Self-Care & Emotional Wellbeing at Sardar Patel Vidya Niketan, Mandi Road, Delhi, on 25 September, 2025, for 31 Teachers. The session aimed to promote awareness around mental health, stress management, and practical self-care strategies tailored for educators.

Through a mix of interactive discussions, reflective exercises, and guided techniques like deep breathing, journaling, and mindfulness, the workshop helped participants explore physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and social aspects of self-care. Trainers emphasized that self-care is not a luxury, but a vital necessity for maintaining wellbeing in demanding teaching environments.

Teachers actively engaged with the session, sharing personal experiences and coping strategies. Emotional openness and mutual understanding created a supportive atmosphere, where participants felt seen and validated.

The workshop concluded on a transformative note, leaving teachers with renewed motivation and actionable tools to enhance their personal and professional lives. It successfully highlighted self-care as an essential practice, not an afterthought.

Session - Creating a Caring Classroom Workshop

Sleepwell Foundation conducted a meaningful workshop on “Creating Caring Classrooms – Neurodiversity” at Sardar Patel Vidya Niketan Mandir, Mandi Road, Delhi, on July 18, 2025.

32 Teachers participated.

The session began with an engaging icebreaker activity, “WATT is Your Attention,” helping participants reflect on their focus levels. The trainer introduced the concept of neurodevelopment and discussed tools to support it. Key learning areas included understanding Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). A case study and two impactful clippings from Taare Zameen Par added real-world relevance.

Despite its lecture-based format, the workshop encouraged active participation through discussions and reflections, drawing on teachers' real classroom experiences. These contributions enhanced the relevance and depth of the session.

Overall, the training proved to be a significant step toward inclusive education. With its focus on empathy, reflection, and contextual teaching, it holds the potential to transform classroom practices and empower educators.

Session - Exam Stress Management Workshop

Sleepwell Foundation conducted a workshop on Exam Stress with over 102 students from 10th and 12th grade at Sardar Patel Vidya Niketan, Mandi, Delhi, on 13th January 2025, in two batches. The session began with an ice-breaking activity where students shared their first reactions to the word ‘EXAMS.’ This was followed by a discussion on stress, its physical effects, and the difference between positive stress (eustress) and negative stress (distress). Students were taught techniques for effective revision, note-making, and managing exam-related anxiety. The session also addressed issues such as low confidence, self-harm, and the importance of a balanced lifestyle, including a proper diet and sleep. The workshop concluded with a motivational message from APJ Abdul Kalam: “Without your involvement, you can’t succeed. With your involvement, you can’t fail.” The workshop was very successful, with both students and staff expressing gratitude and requesting more such workshops in the future.
