The Sleepwell Foundation organized an online Emotional Wellness Series comprising 10 workshops for the students of Jaypee Business School from 13th March to 20th April 2026. Conducted every Monday and Friday, the series witnessed participation from approximately 844 Students.
The workshops focused on emotional well-being, self-awareness, resilience, and interpersonal skills through interactive discussions, activities, and practical exercises.
Session 1: Emotional Wellness & Emotional First-Aid
Participants learned the importance of emotional wellness, Emotional First Aid, coping strategies, emotional regulation, and healthy self-care practices.
Session 2: Perception & Gender Sensitization
The session explored perceptions, stereotypes, biases, and gender sensitization, promoting inclusivity, empathy, equality, and respect.
Session 3: Effective Communication
Participants learned communication styles, active listening, barriers to communication, and the importance of body language through role plays and activities.
Session 4: Relationships
The session focused on emotional connection, mutual understanding, shared responsibility, and healthy relationship dynamics using interactive exercises.
Session 5: Domestic Violence
Participants were sensitized to different forms of abuse, the cycle of abuse, warning signs, and available support systems.
Session 6: Stress and Anger Management
The workshop covered stress, anger triggers, myths about anger, the Anger Iceberg Model, and constructive stress-management techniques.
Session 7: Coping with Depression
The session highlighted symptoms of depression, coping strategies, peer support, and the importance of seeking professional help.
Session 8: Understanding Addiction
Participants discussed addiction, myths and misconceptions, peer pressure, and preventive strategies for healthy living.
Session 9: Change Management
The session introduced adaptability and resilience through the “Traffic Light Model” (Stop – Pause – Continue) to manage change effectively.
Session 10: Prevention of Suicide
Conducted by Mr. Sachin Chidambaran, the session focused on identifying warning signs, emotional support, open communication, and timely intervention.
The workshops witnessed active and enthusiastic participation from students throughout the series. The series concluded with participants sharing positive feedback regarding improved emotional awareness, confidence, communication skills, and understanding of mental health.
