Organised by Sleepwell Foundation, a workshop on “Stress and Anger Management” was conducted on 25th August 2026 at the Auditorium, IEC College Of Engineering & Technology, for 105 first-year students from MBA, BBA, and BA, along with faculty members. Facilitated by Ms. Parveen Gautam and Ms. Pratima Virwani, the workshop focused on helping students understand their emotional responses and develop practical strategies to manage stress and anger in their academic, personal, and social lives. The session emphasised self-awareness, emotional regulation, healthy coping, and effective communication.

The session explored the causes and types of anger, common myths, student stressors, and unhealthy coping mechanisms such as avoidance, procrastination, aggression, and social withdrawal. Students learned about the Yerkes-Dodson Law of Performance and practical strategies including setting boundaries, adapting to stressors, and accepting change. Interactive role plays demonstrated aggressive, passive-aggressive, and assertive responses, while discussions and Q&A encouraged students to reflect on their experiences and develop healthier ways of managing stress and emotional triggers.

Session - Effective Communication Workshop

A workshop on “Effective Communication” was conducted on 9th April 2026 at IEC College of Engineering and Technology, Greater Noida, by Sleepwell Foundation for 62 students. The session focused on enhancing verbal and non-verbal communication skills, emphasizing their importance in personal growth, relationships, interviews, and workplace success. The workshop was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Shakti Prakash along with faculty coordinators Ms. Pinky Chauhan and Ms. Megha Singh, followed by a student-led introduction and vote of thanks, reflecting strong engagement.

Students actively contributed to event management, handling technical support, seating arrangements, and coordination, which strengthened their teamwork and organisational skills. The training adopted an experiential approach through role plays, real-life scenarios, silent communication exercises, and SOLER demonstrations, helping students understand body language, tone, and active listening. Key learnings included communication styles, empathy, and reducing miscommunication. The workshop significantly boosted student confidence and participation, creating an interactive and impactful learning environment focused on building effective and professional communication skills.
