Sleepwell Foundation conducted a “Stop Bullying” awareness session on 6th October 2026 at Atal Adarsh Vidyalaya, Moti Bagh, New Delhi, for 142 students of MYP 1 and MYP 2. The session was conducted by trainers Pratima Virwani and Parveen Gautam, who sensitized students about bullying, its impact, and the importance of empathy, kindness, respect, and speaking up against bullying. The interactive session encouraged students to promote a safe, positive, and supportive school environment.
The Bullying Prevention Workshop focused on helping students understand bullying, recognise its physical, verbal, social, emotional, and cyber forms, and respond with empathy. Through stories, videos, reflection, and discussion, students explored responsible bystander behaviour, online safety, emotional impact, and the importance of speaking up and seeking help.
The interaction with School Counsellor Ms Lubna and Principal Mr Vijay Pal included recommendations such as peer-support programmes, confidential reporting mechanisms, teacher and parent orientations, cyber-safety awareness, and clear anti-bullying policies. The session also highlighted emotional first aid for both affected students and those displaying bullying behaviour.
The initiative supports the vision of NEP 2020 and contributes to SDGs 3, 4, 5, and 16, promoting emotional well-being, inclusive education, dignity, child protection, and responsible citizenship. The central message was clear: A safe school is a shared responsibility where every child feels safe, respected, accepted, and heard.
