Sleepwell Foundation, in collaboration with Sharda Foundation, conducted an interactive workshop on Emotional Wellness on 8th October 2026 at Upper Primary School, Garhi, Shahdara Village, Sector 141, Noida. The workshop was facilitated by Ms. Parveen Gautam and Ms. Pratima Virwani, with the participation of 110 students from Classes 6th to 8th.

The workshop focused on helping students recognise and accept their emotions, understand emotional hurt, distinguish between healthy and unhealthy coping mechanisms, and challenge common myths surrounding emotional expression, self-care, and help-seeking. Through interactive discussions, reflective questions, an icebreaker, the Emotions of the Day activity, and a short video, students were encouraged to develop emotional awareness, empathy, and self-acceptance. The session concluded with a guided box-breathing exercise to introduce a simple technique for relaxation and stress management. Key learnings emphasised that all emotions are natural and deserve acknowledgement, while their expression should be managed constructively. Students were encouraged to practise regular emotional check-ins, maintain healthy sleep routines, engage in physical activities and hobbies, nurture positive peer relationships, and seek support from trusted adults when needed. The workshop also highlighted the importance of creating a disciplined, supportive, and non-judgemental classroom environment where students feel safe expressing their concerns and developing healthy coping strategies for their overall emotional well-being.
